Windows 7 Coming Soon

August 29th, 2009 No comments

It won’t be long for the new and improved Microsoft Windows 7 to be released to the general public. Oct 22, 2009 is when Windows 7 becomes available to the whole world to purchase and install on their PC computer.

Since the first version was released to the public as a beta Microsoft has been listening to people’s suggestions on how to make Windows 7 as easy and intuitive as possible. So that the end result for you the user of Windows 7 is that you will get what you want from Windows 7 with the least amount of hassles in the shortest amount of time possible.

Microsoft since then has released different candidate versions of Windows 7 to the public to get feedback from users on how to improve Windows 7. Microsoft is listening to people on how to make Windows 7 more intuitive and easy to use. As a result Microsoft has implemented many new features based on user feedback that they feel would tremendously benefit all users of Windows 7.

Microsoft seems to me to give the same kind of quality commitment to Windows 7 as it does to the guys in the XNA community where people who love games and wish to make a game either for Windows PC, Xbox 360 or Microsoft’s  Zune multimedia player which can play games as well. Microsoft’s XNA version 3.1 offers people a gaming platform where they don’t have to worry too much about the directx 9c API coding to create their games. C sharp is the main programming language using either Visual C# Express 2008 or Visual Studio Professional 2008 to program games using the XNA game platform.  XNA is a free download for anybody interested in making a game for the Windows PC, Xbox 360 or Microsoft’s Zune Multimedia player.

So Windows 7 will probably be a big hit with computer gamers as well as the new gaming platform since the first release of Windows XP.

Hardcore gamer

Many people who put in lots and lots of hours in playing their favorite best PC games are dedicated gamers who are always looking for the next very best PC games on the market. Of course dedicated gamers always expect to have the best PC gaming computer rig that money can buy in order to play their very best PC games on the market.

One of the ideal components in getting started in building a high performance gaming system the dedicated gamers will need in order to play their very best PC games is a computer rig equipped with a high clocking rated quad or dual CPU (Central Processing Unit) from either Intel or AMD (American Micro Devices).  The 2nd most important component is the top of the line graphics card like a dual or quad configured graphics card from one of the many graphics card manufactures that use either an Nvidia or ATI GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) chipset. The other most important visual component the dedicated gamers usually will need to see their very best PC games up close and personal is a wide screen LCD monitor. And to be able to hear sound in their games they will need a good surround sound audio card from an audio brand name of their choice in order to setup either their 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound multiple speaker setup. Also the dedicated gamers might want to consider getting a good pair of good sounding headphones or maybe get the 5.1 surround sound headphones to keep from disturbing their family or neighbors. And yes they will also need all the other stuff like a well ventilated case using multiple fans to keep their motherboard, hard drive and video cards as cool as possible. The computer case is also used to house and protect the dedicated gamers costly hardware. The other things you will need is a high wattage power supply to power all your hardware components, a  motherboard, a CPU processor, Memory Modules, a  Hard drive, a DVD Writer, a Keyboard, a Mouse and maybe a Joystick for all those flight Sim type genres.

Although ATI the GPU maker of the chipset that powers many of their brand name graphics cards and AMD the CPU manufacture are one in the same company. While Ageia who owned and developed the PhysX API and chipset at one time which was used in the past around 2006 by some manufactures that produced hardware driven PhysX cards utilizing the PhysX Chipset that you could plug into one of your motherboard PCI slots. Around 2008 all of Ageias Assets including the PhysX Tech and the PhysX API was acquired by Nvidia Inc to be integrated into their future technology. As of this writing Nvidia’s Physx API and chipset technology is currently integrated into Nvidia’s Higher Top Performing Graphics Cards. In the past not to many games were using the PhysX API in their games. The upcoming new games in the near future will be released to the publisher for sale to the gaming enthusiasts by the developers that will support the PhysX chipset which will offer the dedicated gamers more of an immersiveness to their games in terms of real time physics like you would experience in the real world.

And for a more immersive experience a good set of 3D LCD shutter glasses from companies like eDimensional and others is recommended. There is one company that is upgrading the quality of LCD shutter glasses that was somewhat limited in the past by the computer monitors vertical refresh rate that company is Nvidia’s Geforce 3D Vision wireless LCD shutter glasses utilizing LCD monitors that have a 120 Hz refresh rates giving nonexistent flicker effect and more game play immersiveness in a 3D stereoscopic world.  When wearing these LCD  shutter glasses the game graphic objects appears either in front of your LCD screen or maybe also looks like the game graphics objects  projects with a 3D depth into your LCD screen depending how you adjust the LCD shutter glasses various user controlled depth parameters.

Most dedicated gamers build their very own unique computer rigs from the ground up. They usually make a list of all the best choice components to build a complete high performance gaming system of their dreams in order to play their very best PC games. In order to have the very best PC gaming experience possible the dedicated gamers need to have the very best PC computer gaming rig that money can buy.

A good high performance graphics card is needed in order to get the highest frame rates possible in terms of faster Photo Realistic Graphics in their favorite games using one of Microsoft’s graphics API directx 9, 10 or 11 versions for use in their various versions of Microsoft Windows OS like XP, Vista and the upcoming Windows 7. But if they want hardware driven physics using the PhysX built in support of Nvidias Hi end Graphics Cards they will want to purchase one of them as well.

In order to utilize better CPU intensive Artificial Intelligence without loss in frame rates they will need a very fast CPU like a Quad CPU processor to execute extremely complex AI Algorithms to give them the dedicated gamers a real challenge when playing their favorite PC computer games.

And the next to the last thing the dedicated gamer will need is to have a good sound card with a Surround Sound  setup to make their gaming experience to be as immersive as possible using the best sound effects and environmental sounds possible. The end result of having the very best PC computer gaming rig loaded up with high performance gaming components that money can buy is to have the very best PC gaming experience possible. But some of the last things a dedicated gamer will need is a nice big Widescreen LCD Monitor, Sound Card and Computer Speakers, Keyboard, Mouse, DVD drive to load or install your games, Joystick for Flight Sims, or maybe a Racing Wheel Controller for those racing games.

Due to the neverending technological leaps in technology involving newer computer components getting faster and faster surpassing the old tech and they the dedicated gamer will get left behind if they are one of the few that has an older PC gaming rig sorry to say who will find it difficult to play the newer games meant to be played on the newer CPU and graphics card technology. The game developers are continually advancing game play in all arenas in terms of a more Photo Realistic worlds utilizing better particle effects that is stunning to the eye and very complicated Artificial Intelligence close to human behavior coupled with real world physics that will take the dedicated gamers breath away. The end result of this advancement in CPU, graphics card technology and the developers working with this new technology is that the new games will probably not run on the older systems and would amount to a slide show. So the only thing the dedicated gamer can do is either upgrade their existing system or better yet upgrade to a new system in order to play the latest very best PC games recently released to the gamers by the developers for the dedicated gamers gaming pleasure.

Dedicated gamers are offered many different number of choices of type of game play know as genres giving every dedicated gamer out there a choice of which type of game genre they wish to play and experience. The typical game genres out there are Flight Sims, Space Sims, RPG’s or Role Playing Games, Action, Action and Adventure, Adventure, Shooters, Strategy, Racing, Simulation, Sports just to mention a few since these usually involve the single dedicated gamer in playing against one or more tough and formidable AI (Artificial Intelligence) opponents depending on the game settings.

Internet type of online gaming involves dedicated gamers playing on a game sever on the Internet either by playing by themselves against everybody in a death match or on an assigned teams involving one of the many genres that are normally played in single player mode on their PC gaming computer rig. Usually one of the common game play types involve capturing the enemies Flag and trying to get the enemies flag to your base to get a point while your team mates are running interference for you while trying to get the flag to your base to score a point. The game play of capturing the flag in a way is sort of like the game of football but with the flag as the football. If you drop the flag it goes right back to the enemy base by that time the enemy is probably nearing your base ready take your team’s flag so hopefully you have a team member who is guarding the base. The other game play type involves players trying to defend their base in keeping the enemy from achieving their goal and thus capture your base which is called something like assault in popular games known as Universal Tournament with the players having an assortment of weapons after they picked them up to frag their enemy players. UT has had many different versions since the game first made it debut and over the years has come out with many new types of the game.  Online Internet gaming will pump up your adrenaline and get you excited since you never know what to expect and have to be on top of the situation or you will get owned by your opponents or opposing teams.

MMORG or Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games which can host a huge number of dedicated game players who enter into huge vast worlds and can role play as any character they desire to play in an almost never ending story of Adventure and Action involving one of the many genres types with their fellow dedicated gamers usually involving a monthly subscription fee.

As the number of PC computer gaming genres listed above just shows that there is a game for every type of dedicated gamers out there and no one is left out since all the game developers out there try to produce a game genre that will likely and hopefully be fun to play and a real challenge to all the dedicated gamers that are out there that enjoy their time in playing their favorite best pc games.

Game Booster v1.1

Game Booster

Here is neat little app called Game Booster I found on the internet that will help gamers out there get the smoothest and most responsive game play possible.

Most game tech support personnel usually tell people who play their games to install the most recent driver’s for all their hardware. The more important ones are new drivers upgrades for their sound card and graphics card to insure the fastest smoothest gaming possible and the least of amount of crashing to their desktop.

Game tech support people will also recommend that people who play their games should shut down if at all possible all their applications that are running in the background to get the smoothest game play possible with their games.

When you start the gamming mode by clicking on the interface button "Switch to gaming mode" Game Booster pops up another window to show you programs running in the background on your computer. The window popup is for your review and simply indicating to you the programs running in the background may not be necessary in order to play your your games. The main purpose in shutting them down so more of your CPUS time is dedicated to running your game instead of the other apps that don’t need your precious CPUs allocation of cycles. It also does a memory sweep of your ram and increase more ram to your games that need it to run more smoothly.

Your next step is to either shut down all the apps down by clicking close them or select the ones you want to keep running. Once you click the button to shut them down Game Booster begins to shut down those unnecessary programs running in the background and does a ram sweep to grab all the freed up memory to be used in your games. The more memory intensive games will probably benefit the most from having more memory. People that have either a single core or dual core CPUS will benefit the most. The people that have the single core CPUS will benefit the most. The quad CPU users will probably benefit to some degree but to a much lesser extent.

When you are ready to restart your apps just click the "Back to Normal mode" button and Game Booster will start all your services back up once again. The only thing Game Booster does not shut down is your other windows stuff like your browser, hard drive directories, and other apps like note pad. You will have to shut those down manually yourself if you think you will benefit.

Game Booster is freeware from IObit.com who is a highly respected and trusted company.  If you have any kind of issues with Game Booster you can go to their Game Booster Forum by selecting the link in Game Booster. They also have some free stuff you can download from their site as well that will probably be useful for your PC.
